Keo Lyons
Martial Arts, Fitness, and Lifestyle Coach
My purpose is to empower others with awareness of their potential. Motivated by a younger life of misguided living and unhealthy patterns, I found resolve in the world of combat sports. Years of dedication to the martial arts lifestyle and community has emboldened me to overcome obstacles while continually pursuing a warrior ethos and humanitarian conviction. A fundamental drive within each of us is to gain strength in spirit, body, and mind. Through this, we access our abilities to impact the surrounding world. I’ve experienced this awakening in many people over the years, and it gives me the confidence to focus my life on the process in achieving this.
I operate out of Augusta Combat Sports where I train and teach. At the age of 35, after finishing a degree in Anthropology, I announced my intention to pursue independent fitness training. Soon after, I was called upon by individuals and groups to share my philosophy and approach to the martial arts. This has taken place through training the Rock Steady Boxing coaches at the Staunton/Augusta YMCA, teaching Jiu Jitsu classes and building programs at ACS, acquiring a position as adjunct professor at Mary Baldwin University teaching self-defense, and working with individual clients. I connect with others to help establish improved patterns and new foundations in their lives. This is accomplished through a client’s dedication to a physical practice.
I have available time slots for private one on one sessions in boxing, kickboxing, jiu jitsu, mixed martial arts, and self-defense. It would be great to hear from you and talk about your interests!
